The Grander, Indian Beach, North Carolina

"Grander" is a term applied to every marlin fisherman's dream – a 1,000-pound specimen. Just as uncommon as catching a marlin weighing in at a half ton is a new luxury ocean-front and sound-front condominium community – also known as The Grander.

A group of developers and businessmen from Eastern North Carolina have purchased what many would call the grandest land of all on North Carolina's Crystal Coast. Formerly the location of the Salter Path Family Campgrounds, Elvation of The Grander in Indian BeachThe Grander is in Indian Beach, amid lush live oaks, surrounded by the sand and surf of the southern Outer Banks and near both Emerald Isle and Atlantic Beach. Situated on the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, it will be no ordinary community.

The Grander will feature 259 two-, three- and four-bedroom residences ranging from 1,600 square feet to 2,400 square feet. All will include fine architectural touches, expansive living areas, magnificent master suites, terraces, wet bars, tray ceilings and designer kitchens.

The waterfront community will offer resort-style amenities, including an on-site fitness center, an ocean-side pool, a 5,000-square-foot clubhouse with a club room overlooking the Atlantic and a working kitchen, day docks and a sunset bar.

Construction on The Grander is slated to begin in late 2007 and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2009. The first phase offered for sale will include 95 ocean-side units. The second phase will be 164 sound-side units.

For marlin fishermen, the dream of landing a grander will always remain a possibility. For beach lovers, meanwhile, The Grander might be the perfect catch. And those who look forward to watching the sunrise and sunset can catch them both at this beautiful waterfront community.
